Jensen Huang Bets on Years More AI Growth With a Bold Forecast

Jensen Huang, the chief executive of Nvidia, has staked out one of the most confident positions in technology, forecasting that the company’s revenue will keep growing at an extraordinary pace for years. Alongside record quarterly results, Huang guided to revenue growth of around 70 percent heading into fiscal 2028, well above what most analysts expected.

It is the kind of forecast few leaders would make. Nvidia is already the central supplier of the chips that power artificial intelligence, and projecting growth of that scale from such a large base is a bet that AI demand is nowhere near its peak.

“AI has reached its inflection point,” he told investors, framing the moment as the start of a sustained shift rather than a passing surge. Computing power, in his telling, has become a form of revenue in itself.

Part of his confidence rests on a widening customer base. Where orders were once concentrated among a few leading labs, Huang pointed to a growing ecosystem of frontier developers and open-model projects now driving demand.

Central to the strategy is Nvidia’s next-generation Vera Rubin platform, entering full production. Huang is betting that each new generation of hardware unlocks further demand, even as the company accepts slightly thinner margins during the transition.

The approach carries risk: forecasts this bold raise the bar Nvidia must clear, and any sign that AI spending is cooling would land hard. But his willingness to commit publicly to such targets is itself a form of leadership, shaping how the market thinks about the trajectory of AI.
